Ripped from the pages of real life, Mortified stars everyday adults sharing their most embarrassing and real childhood letters, lyrics, journals, home movies and artwork... in front of total strangers. Equal parts comedy, theater, & therapy.
Hailed by This American Life, NBC's Today Show, Esquire, Entertainment Weekly, Chicago Tribune, Boston Globe, LA Weekly, Current TV, & Talk of the Nation. Mortified exists on the stage (from DC to LA to Sweden), the page and the web. Never the same show twice.

IMPORTANT EVENT NOTES:
- COST: Online adv. ticketing is cheaper than day-of door prices
- SEATING: All seating is FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. Tickets only ensure gen. admission. Arrive 30 min. prior to showtime help ensure seats. Since Mortified is a comedy show set in a rock venue, we often have standing room. King King typically offers seating for about 80% of house.
- AGES: 21+. No minors.
- FOOD & DRINK: While King King has a fully stocked bar, it does not serve food. That said, you are more than welcome to bring in food into the venue from neighboring eateries (we highly suggest calling places like Lucky Devil ahead of time).
- DOOR TIMES: House doors open 60 min. prior to an event (usually about 7pm).
- CANCELLATIONS: All tickets are non-refundable as per the policy of the ticketing vendor.
- NO-SHOWS: Tickets are held for until showtime. After that time, space is released to wait listed patrons.
- PARKING: King King's parking lot was recently sold to a company who charges more than we'd prefer. For more affordable parking, we suggest you park @ 1715 N. WILCOX AVE (2 blocks east of Whitley).
- WAIT LISTS/SOLD OUT STATUS. In the event that a show is sold out, the venue does offer 'some' tickets at the door on the night of a show. The # of people we let in fluctuates each month due to a variety of factors, but our goal is try to get everyone in when possible. Please note, tickets bought at the door for a sold-out show are generally for standing room only. To accommodate people who purchased tickets in advance, however, we only permit those on the waiting list to enter closer to showtime.
